What kind of data will the various software functions produce?

All of the data created through our software is sampled by a camera and processed. The resultant images are stored on a local hard drive for later analysis. Data can be saved in ARGUS file format. Techniques include:

• Timestack data will allow you to sample wave frequency , tidal data, and shoreline evolution. This visual data helps determine swash strength and mean wave run-up.
• Rectification shows an over head view for calculating exact size and coordinates of events and displaying geographically referenced locations.
• Variance and averaging are useful for analyzing sand-bar dynamics and determining the presence of rip currents.
